Our Rooms

Meeting room hire in Durham

THE COMMITTEE ROOM: 12 seated guests

Situated on the first floor of our building, the Committee room boasts stunning views of Old Elvet. A grand table in the middle of the room can seat up to twelve guests with room for presenters, flipchart and projector screen.

THE GRAND HALL: 100 seated guests / 130 standing

Situated on the ground floor of our building, the Grand Hall boasts high ceilings, stained glass windows and crystal chandeliers. With direct access to our private patio and split level gardens the room can seat from 40 - 90 guests with room for presenters, flipchart, projector and more.

THE BAR: 30 seated guests

Also on the ground floor, our bar is ideal for less formal meetings or gatherings. 30 guests can be seated around round tables with direct access from the entrance hallway. Ideal for naming ceremonies, networking events, team meetings and more.

The garden

THE PRIVATE GARDENS: 120 guests

Beautiful split-level garden and patio areas for outdoor meetings and events. Completely private we offer exclusive use of these areas which are accessed directly from the Grand Hall. With space for a marquee and all the facilities you need for your summer event.

Facilities

We can cater for any type of event from informal gatherings, private dinners, more formal dinners or buffet events.

First and ground floors are fully accessible. Strong WiFi throughout the building. Master of Ceremonies available.

Our Main Hall can host up to 100 seated guests.

Please see our preferred suppliers list for details of entertainers if you need them. The hall has the capacity to host DJs, etc.

Hire our our main hall also includes the use of the adjoining bar and private gardens.

Our own in-house chef who caters for all events from buffets to formal dinners.

LOCATION

Our venue is ideally placed in the City of Durham. Situated on Old Elvet, just minutes from J63 off the A1(M).

Parking is available on Old Elvet and is free of charge after 2pm.

Additional spaces are available at The Prince Bishops multi-story car park a 5-minute walk away.

TRANSPORT LINKS

You can find us a 10-minute walk or 5-minute drive from Durham train station and bus station.
