Durham Masonic Hall is steeped in history, being built in 1868 especially as a meeting place for Freemasons and consequently has its own special ambience, with one of its main features being a bold handsome triple staircase.
The banqueting room has oak panelling and numerous Honour Boards on the walls, which adds to the unique ambience of the room. The Hall has the benefit of a large private garden overlooking Durham University Cricket Ground, with a backdrop of the River Wear and its beautiful tree line.
